Aiden relocated from London to Wythenshawe to care for his father. With limited knowledge of the local area, he initially lacked the confidence and motivation to seek employment in an unfamiliar environment. He was also unaware of the support available to help him move into work.
Through the Support to Succeed programme, Aiden was able to gain a better understanding of the local area and access practical help, including support with writing a CV and attending a job club. These steps helped him gradually build his confidence in searching for work.
Aiden also took part in podcast sessions, which aligned with his personal interests. These sessions provided useful insights and topics that further boosted his confidence and knowledge. With this support, he was able to set clear goals to develop his CV writing and interview skills.
As a result, Aiden secured an interview with Manchester Airport and was successful in getting the job. He is now in full-time employment there, equipped with the confidence and skills he had been striving for.
